This is the webpage for the writing of Lee Hodges
Hello and welcome to my website! I have loved writing since I was at school and have written several novels, novellas, short stories and articles for car magazines. My passion is for children’s writing; I have completed novels in the 9+ (middle grade) and 12+ (Young Adult) age ranges and these stories often contain humour, magic, strong friendships and action, although not always in the same work.
I am hoping to get my work traditionally published so am on the lookout for agent representation or to attract a publisher. Below you can see examples of my writing, so please take a look and get in touch!
Edison Fox & the Repugnatrons
Edison Fox is a scammer. He’s even sold his granny on eBay to make money. Heartless. But after accidentally selling Earth to a planet-crushing alien race, Edison becomes embroiled in an intergalactic feud that looks like blowing everything into a higher orbit. It’s going to take all his well developed scamming skills and some serious techo-wizardry to save the day this time! Trouble is, things are never that simple… (available on Amazon here!)
revEnge:Black Ops
When Reece breaks into the secret computer files of ‘revEnge’, a reverse engineering company, he finds himself plunged into a world of pursuit and danger. His attempt to slide off the radar leads him into taking a job on remote, forested island as a staff member for ‘Paintball Extreme’, but a twist of fate plunges him back into the line of fire as he and his Operation Black Ops paintball clients are picked off one by one by a technologically impossible enemy.
Giles the Bear
When the playful breeze of autumn is chased away by the mischievous chill of winter, the leafy paths and shady branches of Cannock Chase forest are transformed into a place of wonder. And with winter come the children. Excitement almost too much to bear, they bring their parents, their pets and, most importantly, their toys, for they too want to play. Most of all, the toys just want to be with their family and to never be apart. But sometimes, though it is no one’s fault, people lose the things they love. This is the story of a little bear called Giles and the time that he became lost.
Article Writing
As well as writing fiction, I have written several articles for the TVR Car Club’s monthly magazine. An award-winning production, I have supplied articles covering my life with two TVR cars and the work that I have put in to rebuild a Griffith 500, a car that was abandoned in the previous owner’s garden for over ten years!

In this section you can see writing that I am in the process of working on. This material is likely to be first-draft and hasn’t been polished yet, so bear that in mind! 😉
Archives!
In this section you can see my “warts ‘n all” archive of stories that I have (probably quite rightly!) dumped in a virtual dark drawer. Before you’re too harsh, remember that it is likely to be some of my ealiest writing! I will add more as I find stuff hidden in those draws…
